NORTH DALLAS SHARED MINISTRY NEEDS
1. Food - The need to purchase unusually high quantities of so many food items and the paucity of food items available for purchase at 14 cents per pound from the North Texas Food Bank are causing NDSM food purchasing costs to soar.
2. Volunteers - All sorts - primary care physicians, dentists, nurses, hygienists, interviewers, pantry workers, clothes closet workers, data entry people. If you want to volunteer, NDSM has an opportunity. Remember all 500 workers are volunteers. Call Dixie at 972-620-0671.
3. Clothing - Clean, used clothing especially children's clothing and adult clothing suitable for labor-type employment. Outgrown school uniforms or facsimiles are a huge need as school is about to open and NDSM will be inundated with requests.

WIDOWED PERSONS SERVICE OF DALLAS
Cochran Chapel UMC now houses the Widowed Persons Service. Each day from 10:00 - 2:00 p.m. the Widowed Persons Service of Dallas offices in our room off Fellowship Hall. It is a group of women and men of all ages who have been widowed and are seeking support and guidance from other widowed persons who have had similar experiences. They meet every Saturday morning for breakfasts at different locations. They have dinners and lunches. They conduct grief sessions led by a qualified person. They have outreach volunteers who counsel with individuals. They have monthly dinner meetings with entertainment. They go together on local tours and they have game nights.
